Peachleaf Valley: Seeds Of Love is a free simulation video game wherein you can live out the dream of romantic farm life. Developed by Great Gretuski Studios LLC, this 2D indie visual novel is a female-oriented dating sim game or otome game that features a semi-customizable main character and four love interests.
Inspired by Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, and Story of Seasons, Peachleaf Valley: Seeds Of Love offers a farming simulation theme alongside social interaction with NPCs. Take note, however, that this is only the demo version and so it doesn’t include any endings or DLC routes.
A year is a long fruitful journey
In Peachleaf Valley: Seeds Of Love, you play as a nameable young artist who unfortunately lost both her job and her home. While lamenting her luck, she meets a kind old stranger who eventually inspires her to start anew in another home—away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Here, she meets new people and has the option to become closer with four interesting men.
At its core, this game is highly similar to other dating sims that have a farm life theme. However, the farming mechanics aren’t as heavy here as the game’s inspirations. It follows more of the traditional VN elements, wherein NPC interactions via dialogue and narration take precedence and you’ll be more focused on choosing the right dialogue options to endear yourself to your chosen love interest.
The other features can’t be found on most dating sims, though. For one, each route has a slightly different interpretation of each character. You can also unlock “His P.O.V.” Stories, wherein the story is told through the eyes of your guy. There’s also a navigation system that helps in jumping onto certain past events for a re-read. Unfortunately, the demo only covers up to the prologue.
A lovely demo of a dating sim
All in all, Peachleaf Valley: Seeds Of Love is a nice little otome game VN to try out if you’re a fan of farming sim games that feature romance as part of the experience. While simply a demo, not only does this game offer beautiful graphics, but it also has extra features such as alternate POV chapters and a story navigation system to heighten your dating sim experience.
